2 sticks butter 1 C brown sugar 1 cup white sugar 2 large eggs 1 tsp vanilla 2 1/3 cups flour 1 1/4 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 2 c semi sweet choc. chips 1 c quick oats 1c toasted pecans or walnuts can be ground up if you prefer preheat to 375. In a med. bowl mix flour, baking soda, oats, and salt. set aside. In a big bowl, cream together butter and sugars until lilght and fluffy- about 4 minutes. Add eggs one at a time and blend. add vanilla and mix well. add flour mixture and mix until just incorporated. Do not overmix. add pecans and choc chips. Bake at 350 until light golden, around 12 minutes. Don't forget to enjoy!

oh yeah, and don't get confused. This recipe calls for NO cornstarch, even the no mess, economy sized, resealable kind.
